What Edgewater does to a window
The Mayo peninsula is the saltiest glass on our Annapolis routes south of the river. Selby on the Bay, Beverly Beach, Shoreham Beach, Loch Haven and Mayo Beach face the open Chesapeake, and a northeast wind in a nor'easter dries a brackish film on the Bay side of every house within a week of a cleaning. Along the South River in Londontowne, Riva and South River Colony the haze is lighter but it never stops, and the boat traffic out of the Edgewater marinas keeps an exhaust film on anything facing the water.
Inland the trouble is trees and winter road brine. Davidsonville is one-acre and five-acre lots under oak, poplar and pine, and from April into May the pollen covers every pane and screen, followed by a humid summer that grows mildew on shaded glass. Route 2, Central Avenue and Davidsonville Road are brined before every snow and ice event, and the lower glass of any house near a main road wears a white crust by late winter. The newer streets in South River Colony add irrigation spots and construction dust on top.

Inland homes in South River Colony and Davidsonville do well quarterly, with the spring visit timed to the end of pollen season and the inside glass done once a year either way.

In most cases, yes. Mineral spots from sprinkler overspray need a dedicated treatment rather than regular cleaning. Tell us about them on the quote form and we will look at them on the first visit.
